Founder-Faculty, RCI Marine · Foreign-Going Chief Officer
Chief Officer Deepak Gupta is a serving merchant navy officer with real command-of-the-bridge experience on some of the largest ships afloat, including VLCCs and crude/product tankers trading worldwide. His seagoing career spans offshore DP2 operations through to foreign-going tanker command, giving him first-hand, current knowledge of exactly what MMD examiners expect from a candidate.
He is a third-generation educator — Rashmi Coaching Institute was founded by his family in 1984, and Deepak re-launched it in 2019 as a dedicated marine coaching wing. He teaches every subject himself: Navigation, Stability / Naval Architecture, Engineering Knowledge and Chief Mate Orals, starting each batch from first principles so that even the weakest student can follow along.
His concept-first, exam-focused teaching method — combined with structured live Zoom sessions, curated study material and one-to-one mentoring — is why RCI students consistently clear their MMD written papers and oral examinations, many in their very first attempt.
